Why A Chick-Fil-A Sign Has Reddit Making Monty Python References
In the past, Chick-fil-A has infamously put its welcome signs to good use over “sign wars” with other fast-food chains, and it looks like the chicken sandwich chain is at it again. However, instead of a war, this time Chick-fil-A is grabbing the attention of Reddit’s Monty Python fans.
A Chick-fil-A welcome sign that read “Schools out peach is ni” seemed like an obvious typo, but Monty Python fans on Reddit were quick to recognize it as a reference to The Knights Who Say “Ni!” — an iconic group of characters in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" who repeatedly say "Ni!"
Many Reddit users responded to the simple typo with passionate responses that included numerous references to the Monty Python movie. One Reddit user, jzilla11, wrote, "Brave Sir Robin would fit in with his coat of arms," in an ode to a character whose coat of arms is a chicken.
