The Pandemic Restaurant Trend Bobby Flay Has Had Enough Of
The coronavirus pandemic introduced trends in the restaurant industry that changed the guest dining experience, some of which aren’t going away anytime soon. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay is tired of these pandemic trends, but there’s one new trend that he particularly dislikes.
Unfortunately for Flay, industry experts believe that the digital “fad” of the QR code menu might outlast the pandemic. Although the Iron Chef has admitted “we needed to do it,” due to health and safety reasons, he'd much rather use paper menus, and explained, “Your experience is not going to be the same” while using QR codes.
Flay gave insights about creating restaurant experiences and admits he gets an adrenaline rush from being in the kitchen. He also takes great care in creating the recipes for his new line of premium cat food, Made by Nacho, and is thankful “no one's figured out how to make [cooking] come out of a computer yet.”
