  • In 2023, Ivana successfully completed training for the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, receiving the ultimate Pass with Distinction grade.
  • She proudly bears the title of a sourdough expert as she has been baking sweet and savory sourdough treats for over three years.


After earning her master's degree in English Language, Ivana has spent more than seven years working as an author on TasteAtlas. She was initially in charge of scouting and writing about local specialties and national culinary traditions but later switched to the wine section, where she soon became the editor. The wine world eventually evolved, and the expertise included everything from local spirits to traditional non-alcoholic tipples. Her passionate interest in food inspired her to perfect her photography, improve her home-cooking skills, and travel the world in search of authentic flavors and traditional recipes. If she does not write about food and drinks, she is probably reading about it or watching any show related to food or travel. Local gastronomy is her forte, and she believes our future relies on preserving the wonderfully diverse regional cuisines.


Ivana holds a bachelor's degree in English language and literature and a master's degree in teaching English as a second language from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science in Zagreb.
